About the tide data
Offline high/low predictions for 2025–2029 from Toitū Te Whenua LINZ Tauranga, Raglan, Whitianga and Port Taranaki tables. All times use New Zealand local time including daylight saving.
Locations use LINZ 2026–27 corrections from Tauranga or Port Taranaki. Whiritoa, Onemana and Opoutere Beach provisionally use Waihi Beach timing; Ngarunui, Whale Bay, Indicators and Ruapuke use Manu Bay timing. These beach proxies are estimates, not verified local corrections. Opoutere is the open beach, not the harbour. Published high and low corrections are applied separately. Where no low correction is supplied, the high correction is also used for low water as an estimate. Bowentown now uses −5 minutes for both, replacing its earlier midpoint low estimate. Athenree defaults to Kauri Point +30 minutes for both high and low water, editable as a total correction from Tauranga. This is a nearby reference rather than a verified Athenree correction. Your existing manual offset is retained.
Heights are predictions for the selected reference port above its chart datum. Raglan Harbour and Whitianga use their own heights; secondary locations retain source-port heights. They are not local water depth. Offsets change times, not heights. Weather can change actual water levels.
Red heights mark highs at or above the annual 95th percentile and lows at or below the annual 5th percentile in the reference predictions, including tied heights. These are not official king-tide dates or flood warnings.
This app downloads no live forecasts. Location and settings are saved only on this device when storage is available. No advertising, analytics, account sync or GPS. If access protection is enabled, the host handles the login separately.
Clearing site data or browser storage removal can remove the offline copy; reconnect to reinstall. Predictions expire at the end of 2029.
